We are seeking professional and vigilant Door Supervisors to provide safety and security for Wigan Council Events. The role involves ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and members of the public while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct entry searches and ID checks where necessary.
– Monitor crowd behavior and identify potential risks.
– Deal with any disturbances or incidents swiftly and professionally.
– Assist in emergency procedures, including evacuations if required.
– Liaise with Council Management, police, and emergency services.
– Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a firm but fair approach.
– Escort individuals from the premises when necessary.
– Complete incident reports and provide statements when required.
Job Details:
– Rate per hour: £12.50 per hour (£12.00 for Stewards)
– Shift duration: vary depending on the event.
– Start time / Finish time: Subject to match start times.
– Smart / Casual Dress code: SIA License on Display, Black Trousers or Combat Trousers (No Jeans or tracksuit bottoms) Black Jacket/ Coat, Black Shirt or Jumper (No Hoodies or large logos) Black Boots or Shoes (No Trainers)
Requirements:
– Valid SIA Door Supervisor License (Essential)
– Previous experience in security, preferably at events or stadiums (Desirable but not essential)
– Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
– Ability to stand for long periods and work in all weather conditions
– Professional, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
Additional Information:
– This role can involve working throughout the week which can include working weekends and evenings in line with Wigan Council Events schedule.
