SIA Event Security Staff for Oldham Brass Band Contest

Capricorn Security are looking for experienced SIA Security Licenced staff to work with our Events Team at the Oldham Band Contest 2022. The event will take place this June in the Saddleworth and surrounding areas. This event attracts thousands of visitors to the area for a organised walk, with brass bands playing along the route. During the event, you will be working outside and will be on your feet, interacting with visitors in a pleasant and helpful manner.

• Carrying out pre and post event safety checks to identify any potential risk/hazards and reporting these to the Safety Officer/Manager on site • Monitoring crowd movements and behaviour to identify any potential issues and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all staff and visitors • Dealing with potential crowd disruptions

Excellent communication skills confidence in speaking with members of the public smart appearance

A customer service background dealing with member of the public, either face to face or over the phone would be beneficial. In addition, previous experience working within an event or charity setting would be preferrable.
