Billy Robinson

Billy is responsible for overseeing the Capricorn Group’s strategic direction, performance, and financial operations. With over 25 years in the security industry, he is responsible for driving the company’s growth and establishing Capricorn as a trusted and respected security provider across multiple sectors.

Passionate about innovation, growth and delivering high-quality services, Billy places a strong emphasis on building lasting client relationships. His leadership strategy focuses on collaboration — maximising revenue growth through the sales and marketing of Capricorn’s services while ensuring service excellence remains at the heart of everything the team delivers.

Billy brings extensive expertise in compliance and operational delivery. He is an IPSA member and serves as Chairman of the BS 7960 committee, where he contributes his knowledge to the national Door Supervision standard. He is also the Operational Lead for the Manchester City Security Council, working closely with partners and stakeholders to enhance safety and security across the city.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Billy holds a dual SIA licence and continues to work on Close Protection operations, where he has built an outstanding reputation as one of the leading CP operatives in the North of England.

A strong advocate for community engagement, Billy is passionate about social value and actively supports several charities and local initiatives — values which are firmly embedded at the core of the Capricorn Group.

Outside of Work

A lifelong Manchester City fan, Billy loves watching the Blues, spending quality time with his wife and 13 year-old twins, and enjoying a visit to the local pub.

Dolton Adams

Dolton is responsible for the media production operations, and manages a large team, to deliver bespoke specialised TV and media security.

He takes a proactive approach to managing all operational issues, liaising with location and unit managers on a daily basis to ensure all their needs are being met, and to make sure Capricorn is delivering the best possible service to our clients.

Dolton has 25 years in the security industry, holds a dual licence and continues to work in Close Protection.

What do you do in your spare time?

Spending time with my 4 children, partner and family, the gym and cross fit are a passion and after that, eating and having a rum and coke!

Laura Robinson

Laura is an accomplished Education Director and a recognised leader in the training and employability sector, bringing over 20 years of expertise within Further Education. With a proven track record of driving excellence, she specialises in curriculum planning, funding strategy, learner outcomes and delivering outstanding education provision.

At Capricorn, Laura leads the strategic growth of our Training Centre — pioneering innovative curriculum design and shaping the learning and development strategy across the Group. She is passionate about supporting continuous professional development, introducing bespoke training pathways designed to drive quality, raise industry standards and enhance public safety.

Throughout her career, Laura has worked as a qualification development expert for leading awarding bodies and as a technical academic writer. Since joining Capricorn in 2021, she has overseen significant growth in the training centre and continues to inspire her team to achieve new standards of excellence.

Outside of Work

Laura enjoys relaxing weekends with her husband and teen twins, partial to a spa break, running, keeping fit, and finding time for well-deserved family holidays.

Scott Webb

Working with the MD and other directors and operational leads

Working closely with all business management to support and improve the company’s commercial needs. Representing the company as Green Champion to oversee renewable energy and environmental responsibilities.

With over 25 years experience in corporate hospitality and facilities management roles and a previous director of my own limited company I have a wealth of knowledge of staff, client and customer service expectations. I am passionate about equal opportunities and dignity at work.

Cassie Smith

Cassie is Tanveer’s right hand woman in the TV, film and media department, providing essential support which includes overseeing all scheduling of media productions and contracts and ensuring staffing levels are maintained.

Cassie looks after staff inductions and training, carries out weekly site/client visits to maintain and expand relationships and helps introduce new business leads. She also oversees Media staff holidays/payroll and time sheets. Cassie has been a part of the Capricorn family for over 10 years, and has worked across all areas of the business, and has been a big part of the growth of the group.

What do you do in your spare time?

My 3-year-old daughter keeps me busy and I love having time with her and making new memories, I also love to have some down time to socialise with my friends, with eating out being a favourite of mine at the weekend.

Tanveer Hussain

Tanveer oversees media production operations across Greater Manchester and Yorkshire, managing a large team who work to keep crews, cast and locations safe for numerous productions, including many for Netflix, the BBC, ITV Studios and Marvel.

He has been with Capricorn Security for three years, initially as Productions Manager, but was recently promoted to Media Operations Manager.

Before joining the security industry, Tanveer enjoyed a successful 14-year career as a qualified accountant.

Outside of work?

Tanveer enjoys spending quality time with his 12-year-old daughter, exploring new destinations through travel, and keeping sharp with his love for karate.

Diane

Diane is responsible for the finances for the Capricorn Security Group.

Managing a finance team responsibilities include, preparing monthly accounts, VAT returns and seeing the overall finances of the business are robust. Diane has worked for 20 years in finance and has brought experience in managing a complex business model.

What do you do in your spare time?

Going to the gym and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Brad Wharton

A wealth of experience specialising in security  installations.

Capricorn Security Installations Ltd is an established Company with Brad Wharton, Company Director and his team of engineers and office administration having over 40 years of experience in the Security Industry. Brad has worked his way through the industry from an apprentice leaving school to acquiring his own Company.

We specialise in Intruder, Fire, CCTV and Door Access systems, we are accredited by SSAIB which forms part of our commitment to the highest quality of customer care and service delivery, we are competent in the design, installation, commissioning and monitoring/maintenance of all electronic security systems, we pride ourselves in offering competitive quotations and aim to provide a professional and personal relationship with all our customers, delivering peace of mind through quality systems and expert customer care.

Deborah Wharton

Daniel Burnley

Daniel is responsible for the Internal Quality Assurance for Capricorn’s training division which includes overseeing and verifying the assessment decisions of all our Trainers/Assessors who deliver our programmes.

He ensures that we maintain compliance and high standards. In addition, some of the courses he teaches are Employability, First Aid, Spectator safety along with ad hoc courses he has developed for our staff and clients. 

Outside of work

Daniel likes to spend time with family and friends, goes to the gym, and has a keen interest in Martial Arts.

Furqan Liaqat

With over 12 years’ of experience in various corporate management roles. Mr. Furqan is responsible for the smooth running of the Capricorn’s training business operations, starting from supporting learners in booking relevant training courses till the end of its successful completion.

He assists trainers with any administration requirements and keeps detailed IQA and CPD records. Mr. Furqan has done his master’s in Business Analytics from the University of Essex. He is a person of dedication and perseverance and likes to complete his work with full motivation.

What do you do in your spare time?

Love to explore and travel to new places. Passion in gardening, painting abstract art, working with tools and feeling pride in repairing broken items, reusing and recycling stuff and plenty more! Likes to stay healthy with daily morning exercise, eating good food and most important thing, sparing sometime to remember God.

Phil Moulton

Phil has supported Capricorn over the last 10 months delivering close protection and physical intervention courses, and as part of this has written a new methodology for PI, which will be recognised nationally.

His history is 30 years in close protection, where he ran a large company with more than 300 staff. He was also in charge of the England National football team’s security for 10 years.

Outside of work

Phil’s a busy man, he has trained in karate since 1970 and has written three books, one of them was best seller on Amazon.
