With over 25 years in the industry, Billy has grown the Capricorn group significantly. Success is best delivered through trust and integrity the most important values that he drives every day. Billy has an indepth understanding of compliance and the security industry, He is an IPSA member and has been recognised as the chairman of the GW3 BS 7960 where he uses his expertise to consult on Door supervision. He holds a dual license and works regularly on Close Protection operations where he has built an outstanding reputation and is one of the leading CP operatives in the North of England.

Billy supports many charities and has a passion for supporting the local community, with social values being one of the Core Values of The Capricorn group.

What do you do in your spare time?

Being a lifelong MCFC fan I love to watch the blues and spend time with my wife and 12 year old twins, also partial to the local pub!

Dolton Adams

Responsible for the Media production operations managing a large team of security operatives and managers, delivering bespoke specialised TV and media security. As the North-west leading TV/Media security provider Dolton takes a proactive approach to managing security needs and operational issues.

With 25 years in the security industry and following a successful journey working on the front line Dolton now ensures the team are delivering the best possible service to our clients, delivering a solution focused approach to security issues, liaising with location and unit managers on a daily basis provide the best possible to Dolton holds a dual license and continues to work on Close Protection operations.

What do you do in your spare time?

Spending time with my 4 children, partner and family, the gym and cross fit are a passion and after that eating and having a rum and coke!

Laura Robinson

Laura is a highly skilled education director with a breadth of knowledge spanning over 20 years’ in the training and employability sector within further education. A specialist in curriculum planning, funding, learner outcomes and delivering an outstanding education provision.

Responsible for the strategic growth of the training centre, innovative curriculum design and the learning and development for the Capricorn group.

Previous consultancy roles include qualification development expert for a number of awarding bodies and a technical academic writer. Laura has seen significant growth in the training centre from 2021 and is excited to see the continued growth and the development of our team.

What do you do in your spare time?

Relaxing weekends with my husband and 12 year old twins who keep me super busy! Much needed spa breaks, running and keeping fit and trying to find the time for holidays!

Brad Wharton

A wealth of experience specialising in security  installations.

Capricorn Security Installations Ltd is an established Company with Brad Wharton, Company Director and his team of engineers and office administration having over 40 years of experience in the Security Industry. Brad has worked his way through the industry from an apprentice leaving school to acquiring his own Company.

We specialise in Intruder, Fire, CCTV and Door Access systems, we are accredited by SSAIB which forms part of our commitment to the highest quality of customer care and service delivery, we are competent in the design, installation, commissioning and monitoring/maintenance of all electronic security systems, we pride ourselves in offering competitive quotations and aim to provide a professional and personal relationship with all our customers, delivering peace of mind through quality systems and expert customer care.

Tracy Hogan

I joined Capricorn after an extensive career within the public sector.

This started at the age of 17 when I joined the British army, serving 17 years, operationally and peace keeping. The majority of this career was spent as  Royal Military Police Officer.  After leaving the army as a SNCO, I joined Greater Manchester Police and spent the next 15 years working across several divisions, specialising within public protection and safeguarding. My rank within GMP was detective constable.

After only a few months with my first task in the private security industry at Capricorn I was appointed as account manager for a significant Aviation project which consisted of putting together a security team of around 150 operative which all needed to be trained to meet the high standards of airport screening and security – at its peak we had the capability to run a whole terminal and support this particular airport should the need have been required.

I now run the NHS platform across Manchester and Lancashire and this covers 7 NHS sites in the North west and deploys over 150 staff working on a range of different shifts patterners and arrangements.  I now feel that I am a senior member of the Management platform at Capricorn

Cassie Smith

Responsible for Leisure operations and staffing of all leisure & hospitality contracts, responsible for maintaining and increasing the efficiency of all our staff and business working with some of the most exclusive venues in and across Manchester’s vibrant night life.

I have been working with Capricorn for over 10 years and have gained invaluable experience working across the wider group of all areas of the business. I am proud to have been part of the growth of the Capricorn Security Group. Being a natural people person, I love meeting new clients and building strong working relationships.

What do you do in your spare time?

My 2 year old daughter keeps me busy and I love having time with her and making new memories, I also love to have some down time to socialise with my friends, eating out is a favourite of mine on a weekend.

Scott Webb

Overseeing the Recruitment, onboarding and vetting process.

Working closely with all business management to support the company’s recruitment needs. Representing the company as Green Champion to oversee renewable energy and environmental responsibilities.

With over 25 years experience in corporate hospitality and facilities management roles I have a wealth of knowledge of staff and customer service expectations. I am passionate about equal opportunities and dignity at work.

What do you do in your spare time?

Paul Taylor

With over 15 years’ experience in security compliance within the Aviation and Private Security Industries – specialise in measuring full group compliance – monitoring quality and risk within the business.

Ensuring the company continues to ascertain both SIA ACS and ISO accreditations – Business writing and reporting. Also looks after the HR systems in tandem with out HR Consultants.

What do you do in your spare time?

Chaotic, action packed weekends with my wife and two sport mad boys. Like to stay fit by running and circuit training. Partial to the odd gallon of cider!

Diane

Diane is responsible for the finances for the Capricorn Security Group.

Managing a finance team responsibilities include, preparing monthly accounts, VAT returns and seeing the overall finances of the business are robust. Diane has worked for 20 years in finance and has brought experience in managing a complex business model.

What do you do in your spare time?

Going to the gym and spending time with her husband and daughter.

James Todd

Responsible for all of the social media & marketing output for the Capricorn Group.

I came into the job on the back of completing my degree in Multi-Media Sport Journalism & hold a wealth of experience in that field having previously worked at Manchester Evening News as a Sport Content Creator.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love following Manchester City home & away whilst also enjoy traveling abroad on my holidays several times a year.

Sarah Allen

Responsible for scheduling security officers for a busy fast paced NHS/Corporate portfolio, and all the details and extras involved with co-ordinating over 120 staff members.

I have a 20 year history of working in a recruitment environment and being highly organised, and using my own initiative.

What do you do in your spare time?

A mum to two great kids and their personal chauffeur, cake maker, also love spending time with my family and friends and making memories –  normally involving a nice Pinot or a G&T or two!

Deborah Wharton

Furqan Liaqat

With over 12 years’ of experience in various corporate management roles. Mr. Furqan is responsible for the smooth running of the Capricorn’s training business operations, starting from supporting learners in booking relevant training courses till the end of its successful completion.

He assists trainers with any administration requirements and keeps detailed IQA and CPD records. Mr. Furqan has done his master’s in Business Analytics from the University of Essex. He is a person of dedication and perseverance and likes to complete his work with full motivation.

What do you do in your spare time?

Love to explore and travel to new places. Passion in gardening, painting abstract art, working with tools and feeling pride in repairing broken items, reusing and recycling stuff and plenty more! Likes to stay healthy with daily morning exercise, eating good food and most important thing, sparing sometime to remember God.

Garry has worked with Capricorn managing media operations in the Yorkshire region for 10 years.

His role is overseeing security operations for TV and film, managing a large team of security operatives and  working alongside the location crews.

Brian Nuttall

Experienced business consultant with a demonstrated history of improving businesses and their approach to compliance, risk and improvement.

Skilled in numerous sectors, as a time served and qualified Mechanical Engineer who has worked in the Private Security Industry for over 25 years. Co-Author and founder of national award winning ProtectED, a code of practice and accreditation scheme for the safety, security and wellbeing of students.

Brian is a Director of both K7 Compliance Ltd and Student Safety and Well-being CIC. Brian is an avid Manchester United supporter and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
